Elizabeth gold 20-Roubles of 1755. (GM auction 1950 lot 89; GM Corpus 12.8; Diakov 326; Bitkin 550; Uzdenikov 0075; KM; F 121).

This lot was offered for sale by St James’s Auctions in association with Baldwin’s, beating the record price for a non-US coin, currently held by a Polish 100 ducat, which fetched $1.48m earlier in 2008.
