Henry VIII Half-Groat, Canterbury

Henry VIII (1509-47), Half-Groat, third coinage (1544-7), Canterbury Mint, crowned bearded bust ¾ facing right, extra pellets evident in crown band, no initial mark on obverse, slipped trefoil stops, rev long cross fourchée upon quartered shield of arms, 1.14g (N.1852; S.2378).

Very unusual with pellets in crown, also engravers guide spot in centre, a little ragged, toned, a bold very fine and presumably rare.
