How to Consign to Baldwin's

THE MERGER OF A. H. BALDWIN & SONS with Noble Investments (UK) PLC in 2006 and the acquisition in early 2008 of Apex Philatelics has seen the company grow in size to become a formidable market player. Offering a complete package for any coin or stamp collector or investor our team of specialists and consultants cover all aspects of English, Ancient and Foreign coins, commemorative medals, military medals, tokens, banknotes, numismatic books and world stamps.

Baldwin's produce the highest quality catalogues, expertly researched by our comprehensive team of specialists to provide a unique selling tool for individual items or your entire collection. Catalogues can be personalised to create a lasting record and samples of catalogues we have produced for individual collections are available upon request. . High prices are always the result when quality coins meet experienced and careful cataloguing.

We have spent many years compiling and expanding our international database of clientèle to which our catalogues are sent. This is constantly augmented by our presence at international coin shows including London, New York, Munich, Singapore and Hong Kong. In addition to this we are continually looking for new routes to market our auctions. Our in house marketing team will undertake additional promotion for collectors' sales where appropriate and a comprehensive marketing strategy can be provided upon request. As our track record proves this promises favourable results when we auction your coins.

2006 saw Baldwin's as the first UK numismatic auction house to use live internet biding at their auctions. Since then we have watched this international bidding platform become a an invaluable tool for our bidders and vendors alike with up to 16% of lots selling online.

Our seller commission begins at 15% (+VAT) but may be reduced for items of high value or whole collections; please contact Seth Freeman on +44 (0)20 7930 6879 or at auctions@baldwin.co.uk for more details. This is the only charge that applies. We make no charge for photography, storage or insurance and there is no fee for lots that do not sell.

At the point of consignment you will receive a signed receipt which details our conditions of sale. You will receive a full listing of your items in the sale and a free copy of the printed catalogue at least three weeks before the sale date.

Payment to sellers takes place between 30 and 45 days after the date of the sale. Consignors are not required to pay any money before the auction as all charges are deducted from the final settlement.
