The most impressive collection of Coins of British India ever sold at auction.
Part Two 31 May 2013.
Baldwin’s and Bloomsbury Auctions are looking for motivated interns to work closely with our PR and marketing team as part of a full-time placement for three months. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day tasks required to keep this busy department running efficiently, and have the opportunity to learn invaluable skills within two disciplines.
Our internships are offered for three months, with a review after the first month, and we have four intakes a year: in February, May, August and November. We are currently looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible.
If you’re selected, you’ll be supporting two Marketing and PR Managers in a number of key tasks based around promoting our three specialist auction and retail brands. This will include handling images and data to produce eMarketing mail shots and executing social media posts on Facebook and Twitter, as well as research into new and emerging social platforms that could benefit the business. There is also an ongoing requirement for media liaison assistance and you will be required to provide information to trade media contacts both pre and post auction and track media coverage to ensure our websites are populated with up to date information.
You’ll also be needed to assist with ad hoc marketing administration duties and generally support the PR and social media teams in their mission to maximise opportunities for our business.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic person with a keen interest in auctions and/or the arts, e-commerce, retail and the media, as well as excellent content-writing abilities. You should have strong Microsoft Office skills and be familiar with the functionality of key social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. A familiarity with Google Analytics would be useful, but not essential. We need someone with an exceptional attitude, who wants to work hard and quickly become a dedicated member of the team, and who has a positive and enthusiastic approach. Accuracy, attention to detail and good communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical and we will be appraising applications with this in mind.
If you think you have the required skills and experience please get in touch with us with a covering note and your CV, either by post or by email.
Travel and expenses up to £60 per week.
