Great Britain, Gloucestershire, Gloucester, James Whalley, Silver Shilling Token, undated (c.1811), obverse: shield of arms (three red chevronels and ten torteaux in a three, three, three and one pattern) at centre, laurel branches to either side, GLOUCESTER TOKEN ONE SHILLING around, reverse: PAYABLE AT Jas WHALLEY’S GLOUCESTER & AT No 10 CHARLOTTE ST FITZROY SQUARE LONDON in seven lines, edge grained, diam. 25mm (D. 11).

Extremely fine, partly toned..
