Charles Frederick Rogers was born on the 12th November 1886. He Served during the Great War and in India as Staff Sergeant, Supply and Transport Corps, 64th Mule Corps in Afghanistan. Received Long Service and Good Conduct Medal by Indian Army Order no.452 of 31st May 1924 as Sub-Conductor, I.A.S.C. Meritorious Service Medal awarded in the London Gazette of the 15th October 1918 for “Valuable Services in Mesopotamia”.
First Commissioned on the 2st January 1935. Major & Commissary 1st January 1937 and by October he was serving in the 14th District Supply Company at Bannu. By April 1939 he was in the Special Supernumarary List, R.I.A.S.C. and serving in 8th D.S.C. at Calcutta. By June he had transferred to the 7th D.S.C. at Jullundur.
