Henry VIII (1509-1547), Crown of the double-rose with Katharine of Aragon. Second coinage, London issue, initial mark rose both sides. Struck between 1526-1544. Crowned double rose with Һ K flanking within inner linear circle. Legend reads ҺENRIC9 · VIII9 · RVTILΛNS : ROSΛ : SINE : SPINΛ double and single saltire stops in place. Rev, quartered crowned coat of arms within inner linear circle, legend reads DEI : G’ · R’ · ΛGLIE’ · Z · FRΛNC’ · DNS’ : hIBENIE’ the R has been omitted from HIBERNIE in this recorded variant, and the letter E puncheon has a broken arm giving the appearance of an F, single and double saltire stops, 3.64g (Schneider 580; North 1788; S.2273).

Extremely fine for issue, aesthetically pleasing.
