Charles II (1660-85), Shilling, 1663, first bust variety, laureate and draped bust right, legend surrounding CAROLVS . II. DEI. GRATIA. Rev, crowned cruciform shields, interlinked Cs in angles, garter star at centre, date to the sides of top crown, .MAG. BR.FRA. ET.HIB. REX. (Bull 506; ESC 1025; S.3372).

Underlying mint lustre, the slightest of weakness in the garter star and second part of the date.

Excellent portrait, well struck. Good very fine.
