George IV (1820-1830), Penny, second issue, 1827, laureate head facing left, toothed border both sides, legend reads GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA, date below between two oval beaded ornaments. Rev, Britannia seated right in long flowing robes wearing a plumed helmet of Corinthian style, holding a trident in her left hand, her right hand rests on an oval shield bearing the combined crosses of the union flag, plain saltire on shield, emblems in exergue, edge plain (S.3823; BMC.1430.)
Good very fine for issue, extremely rare.
