A Battle of Passchendaele Casualty Medal awarded to Private Frederick William Fidge 7th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, (City of London Regiment), previously The Queen’s Regiment, who was Killed in Action on the 30th of October 1917 comprising, 1914-1920 British War Medal, (242631 Pte. F. W. Fidge. The Queen’s R.), very fine

Frederick William Fidge was born in Dulwich, lived in Camberwell where he enlisted. He was Killed in Action on the 30th of October 1917 in the Trenches, the Battalion War Diary is a confused read of attack and counter attack and many German Snipers, his body was not located after the War and he is commemorated on Panels 28 to 30 on the Tyne Cot Memorial, he was the only son of James W.Y. Fidge and Eliza Fidge of 45 Shenley Road, Camberwell, London he was20 years old.
