A Battle of the Somme Flers Line Bombing Party Casualty Group awarded to Private Fred Syer, 1st/19th (County of London) Battalion The London Regiment (St Pancras) comprising 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals (5992 Pte. F. Syer. 19-Lond. R.), Memorial Plaque (Frederick Syer), mint, as issued.

Private Fred Syer was Killed in Action on the 29th September 1916 during a bombing attack on the Flers Line. His body was not located after the war and he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

The medals are in the box and packets of issue in the posting envelop, the Memorial Plaque is in its envelope with King’s letter, in its cardboard Memorial Plaque Box which is still in its (torn) postal envelope. A most complete as issued Causality grouping.
