Herbert S.A.S.C.), 1914-1920 British War Medal, and South African bi-lingual Victory Medal, (Capt. F.D. Herbert.), very fine.

Captain 3rd (Militia) Battalion Leinster Regiment – 22nd June 1903. Services dispensed with 24th September 1904.
Captain-South African Staff Corps, 2nd September 1914 to 21st December 1914, Released from service 21st December 1914. He was now 52 years of age.
