James Spencer Tolhurst enlisted on the 20th of November 1915. He was awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of the 24th of January 1919, this Gazette carries awards for the Battle of Amiens on the 3rd of September 1918.He was awarded Silver War Badge number B190617 and was discharged due to Wounds on the 30th of April 1919 giving his Home address as Lily farm, Tudley Hale, Tonbridge, Kent., He is also entitled to a British War and Victory Medal pair.
