Thorne. 3-Co. Of Lond. Y.), heavily toned good.
Sidney James Thorne a native of Putney joined the 2nd/3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) 25th of May 1915, proceeding to France on the 22nd of September 1916. His Medal Index Card shows service with the 2/3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), 12th Battalion The Middlesex Regiment, 23rd Battalion (2nd Footballers) Battalion The Middlesex Regiment and the 11th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment. His papers stae wounded Gun Shot Wound Neck and Right Arm, August 1918.
