A Great War London Regiment Casualty Pair awarded to Private Ernest Bentley, 3rd Battalion London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) who was Killed in Action on the 28th of February 1917 comprising, 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (5028 Pte. E. Bentley. 3-Lond. R.), very lightly toned very fine.

Private Ernest Bentley landed in France on the 6th of July 1916, he served with the 3rd Battalion London Regiment (Roay Fusiliers until he was Killed in Action on the 28th of February. He had been re-numbered to 252120, (Medal Index Card Confirms), he is buried in Rue-Du-Bacquerot No1 Military Cemetery, Laventine, France, Plot 2, Row K, Grave 1. He was the husband of Nellie Bentley of Watford.
