A London Regiment Great War Officer Casualty, Second World War Home Guard, Group of three awarded to 2nd Lieutenant Robert Anthony Basham 16th (County) Battalion Queen’s Westminster Rifles London Regiment comprising, 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (2. Lieut. R.A Basham.), 1939-45 Defence Medal, unnamed as issued, mounted for wear, very fine.

Robert Anthony Basham was Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant on the 30th May 1917, he landed in France on the 7th September 1917 posted to the 16th (County) Battalion Queen’s Westminster Rifles London Regiment he is reported Wounded 13th March 1918. His British War and Victory medals were returned to the issuing office by the GPO and were re-issued on the 2nd November 1927.
