A March 1918 Somme Casualty British War Medal awarded to Private Leonard Nunn, 2nd/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, previously 2556 Private The Essex Regiment, who was Killed in Action on the 31st of March 1918 comprising, 1914-1920 British War Medal, (2556 Pte. L. Nunn. Essex R.), very fine.

Private Leonard Nun served as Pte. 2556 Essex Regiment, Pte. 6077TF Gloucestershire Regiment and Pte. 267299 Gloucestershire Regiment, Medal Index Card confirms service numbers.

Leonard’s body was not located after the war and he is commemorated on Panels 40-41 of the Poziers Memorial, Somme, France.
