The Natal Royal Regiment received 225 Natal Rebellion Medals with clasp, and 33 without clasp, a total of 258 -Drummer T. Crerar is confirmed on the roll. The 4th South African Force fought only in German East Africa during the Great War and fought at the battle of Umbulu in 1916.
