A World War Two Battle of the Atlantic, Arctic Convoys, Long Service Group of 5 awarded to Able Seaman Edward Lanigan, Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Reserve comprising, 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, with Arctic Emblem, Africa Star, 1939-45 War Medal, all unnamed as issued, Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GVIR, (SSX24569 E. Lanigan, P.O. B21709 A.B. TF.R.), contemporarily mounted for wear, lightly toned very fine.

Edward Lanigan was born in July 1918; he was awarded the Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Medal on the 25th of March 1953. Edward Died in 1964.

The Arctic Emblem, MYB242D, was issued to all surviving Veterans who served north of the Arctic Circle and west of the Urals between 3rd September 1939 and 8th of May 1945. The emblem is also issued to the next of kin of deceased veterans.
