352674 Warrant Officer David John Pickering was Gazetted as Flying Officer on Probation on the 16th of January 1941 with the number (45250), Confirmed as Flying Officer on the 31st of January 1942 he Transferred to the R.A.F. Regiment as Flying Officer on the 1st of February 1942. Promoted to Flight Lieutenant (Temporary) on the 1st of September 1942. Granted War Substantive Flight Lieutenant on the 5th of May 1945 and to Temporary Squadron Leader on the 1st of July 1945. Gazetted Substantive Flight Lieutenant in the R.A.F. Regiment on the 1st of November 1947. He Retired as Flight Lieutenant retaining the rank of Squadron Leader from the R.A.F. Regiment on the 1st of September 1950.
