A World War Two Royal Northumberland Fusiliers Casualty Group of 3 awarded to Private John Leslie Parker, 2nd Battalion Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, who was killed in an accident, aged 20, on the 20th of May 1944, comprising 1939-45 Stra, Italy Star, 1939-45 War Medal, all unnamed as issued, extremely fine.

Private John Leslie Parker was the son of Fred and Violet Dorothea Parker of Bilton, Harrogate. Private Parker is buried in Harrogate (Stonefall) Cemetery Section 21E, Grave 7069. The Casualty return for May 1944 states Home- Died as a Result of Accident.

Sold with original card box of issue addressed to Mr F. Palmer, 8 Warren Place, Bilton, Harrogate with Condolence/Bestowal slip which says (Your Son Pte J.L. Parker) confirms 3 medals. Copy photograph of headstone, Commonwealth War Graves Information and copy casualty return for May 1944.
