Description

A WW2, Masonic Group of 3 awarded to Brother J. Lewis Lloyd of Royal Crown Lodge 3133, comprising 1939-45 Defence and War Medals, Royal Masonic Hospital Jewel, hallmarked for London 1935 (Bro. J. Lewis Lloyd. No 3133)

Royal Crown Lodge meets at The United Grand Lodge, Great Queen Street, London. It is believed he was a solicitor – premises in 1950s at 329 High Holborn. Born 1901, died 1988 and leaves a small fortune.

At this time, this Lodge was a Military Lodge. There’s a Captain J Lewis-Lloyd, Middlesex Regt, who fights in West Africa in 1900 according to Hart’s Army List – perhaps his father.
