Aethelred II (978-1016), Penny, Last small cross type (c.1009-1017), Lincoln mint, moneyer Osferth, diademed and draped bust left within inner linear circle, legend surrounds +ÆÐELRED REX ΛNGLOR, the NG ligate. Rev, cross pattée all within inner linear circle, reads +OSFERĐ M-O LINCO, 1.28g (S.1154; N.777; BMC I; SCBI 7 (Copenhagen), 564, plate 24, same dies).

Struck on a fully centred flan with a detailed portrait. Few peckmarks mainly on reverse, clear legends both sides. Good very fine for mint and type, grey tone.
