Aethelred II (978-1016), Penny, Last small cross type (c.1009-1017), Lincoln mint, moneyer Bruntat, diademed and draped bust left within inner linear circle, larger portrait employed, legend surrounds +ÆÐELRED REX ΛNG. Rev, cross pattée within inner linear circle, reads +BRVNTΛT MO LINCOL, 1.60g (S.1154; N.777; BMC I; H. R. Mossop 9, plate XXII). Light tone, imposing portrait showing some good definition, legends clear both sides, some reverse field peckmarks. Good very fine, struck on good metal.
