Aethelred II (978-1016), Penny, long cross type (c.997-1003), London Mint, Moneyer Aethelweard, draped bust left, legend surrounding commences lower left, +ÆÐELRÆD REX ANGLOR, rev long voided cross with tri-crescent terminals, tiny pellet at centre, pellet in two upper angles, +ÆÐELPERD M.O LVND, 1.57g (BMC type IVa, cf.230; N.774; S.1151).

Toned, peck marks both sides, very fine, unusual with extra pellets.
