Aethelred II (978-1016), last small cross type Penny (1009-17), Aelfsige of Winchester Mint, draped and diademed bust left, within linear circle, + ÆÐELRÆD REX. Λ.NGL:, rev. short cross at centre, within linear circle, + . ÆLFSGE ON PINCSTR, 1.21g. (N.777; S.1154).

Weak at centre, a couple of peck marks on reverse, toned, very fine with a nice full Mint reading.
