Alfred Booth joined the 59th Foot on the 19th of April 1869, he served in Ceylon, India and from the 13th of December 1878 to the 9th of April 1880 in Afghanistan, returning to India until November 1880 when he returned Home until his Discharge on the 1st of September 1887.
