An Officers WW2 North Africa group of 4 awarded to Temporary Captain Robert Stephen Tillard Cooke Cheshire Regiment attached HQ 156 (Jerusalem) Sub Area comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, 1939-45 Defence Medal, 1939-45 War medal, unnamed as issued toned very fine.

Robert Tillard was born on the 22nd September 1918 and served in the ranks 1 st September 1939 to
January 1941 with the 1st Battalion the London Rifle Brigade, (7th Battalion Rifle Brigade). From the 1st
August 1941 to the 22nd June 1942 he served with the 6th Battalion The Cheshire Regiment, and was Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on the 1 st August 1942, Lieutenant 1 st October 1942, Acting Captain 27th October 1945, Temporary Captain 27th January 1946, He was a Photo Interpreter June 1944. He was discharged on in March 1946.

Sold with London Rifle Brigade cap badge, Cheshire Regt officer’s cap badge & collar badges; officer’s record of service various notification of release papers and one original photograph.
