Description
Anne (1702-1714), Half-Guinea, 1710, third draped bust left, toothed borders both sides, legend reads ANNA DEI GRATIA. Rev, post-union crowned cruciform emblematic shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, six strings to Irish harp, date flanking top crown, reads MAG BRI FR ET HIB REG (S.3575; Schneider 538; MCE 233; EGC. 489 – D/2).
Evenly toned with some frosting around the legends, pinpoint precision in the Queens hair, some very subtle flecking and few light hairlines. Rev, reflective fields with some toning spots. Good extremely fine with original mint bloom, fetching.
