Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal awarded to Staff Serjeant Ernest Albert Victor Linzey, Royal Army Medical Corps who during the Great War served with No1 Casualty Clearing Station from August 1914, comprising Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GVR, Regular Army Bar, (7247134 S. Sjt. E.A.V. Linzey. R.A.M.C.), toned fine.
Private Ernest Albert Victor Linzey landed in France on the 19th of August 1914, he served with No1 Casualty Clearing Station R.A.M.C. His name appears in the 1939 Census stating that he works for the War Office, the London Gazette of the 21st of November 1941 shows that he was Commissioned into the Civil Service , Department Clerks (Grade IV) in War Department Outstation no 14.
