Australia, Victoria, South Yarra, Prahan, Mrs Fisher (draper), Copper Halfpenny Trade / Advertising Token, dated 1857, minted by W J Taylor of London (Great Britain), obverse: FISHER curved at top, DRAPER MARLBOROUGH HOUSE in three lines at centre, GARDINERS CREEK ROAD below, all within beaded border, reverse: emu and kangaroo (the symbolic animals of Australia) facing each other, AUSTRALIA above, date below, all within beaded border, edge plain, diam. 28mm (Dr Arthur Andrews, Australasian Tokens and Coins 122).
Tiny edge nick by “U” of “AUSTRALIA”, otherwise extremely fine with some nice lustre, scarce.
