BEF -1914 Star, Private Ralph King who landed in France on the 23rd of October with the 1st Battalion Dorset Regiment and who later transferred to the 2nd Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers and was Killed in Action in the Battalion attack at Le Catelet on the 4th of October 1918 comprising 1914 Star, (3-7915 Pte R. King. Dorset: R.) very fine
Private Ralph King is Buried in Templeux-Le-Guerard British Cemetery, 26 kilometres East of Peron in Plot 1 Row H Grave 12, he was the 34-year-old son of Tom King of Wimborne Dorset, his Brother, Corporal Tom Chris King was awarded the DCM with the Dorsetshire Regiment and was also Killed in Action on the 2nd of May 1915.

A Great War Pair Awarded to Private Gershon Don, Loyal North Lancs and Lancashire Fusiliers, who Fractured his Right Patella (Kneecap) Whilst on Active Service, comprising, 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (35616 Pte. G. Don. L. N. Lan. R.), lightly toned very fine.
Gershon Don joined the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on the 28th of December 1916 in Whitehall, stating that he was a Military Tailor who resided at 17, Fair Street, Spitalfields. He served with the13th Battalion Loyal North Lancs at Blackpool. He proceeded to France on the 20th of July 1917 being transferred to the 1/5th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers on the 7th of August 1917. He was injured, whilst on Active Service, fracturing his Right Patella (Knee Cap) on the 12th of September 1917. He was admitted to no 6 CRS 2nd/2nd West Kent Field Ambulance “Fluid on Joint, Back Splint – Very Neurotic Casualty”. He was then invalided to England. He spent 59 Days in Hospital and was the transferred to a Works Company of the Labour Corps in England until his discharge from the Army, 50% disabled on the 25th of June 1918, he was awarded Silver War Badge No. 413473.
