Birmingham, Society of Arts and School of Design, silver medal (64mm/112gm), 1851, by Allen & Moore, from a design by T Clark. Three female students of architecture, painting and sculpture, the latter carving a bust of Prince Albert. Rev, legend and, within wreath, engraved inscription, “Julia Salt / FOR A DRAWING / OF WILD FLOWERS. / 1864.” Rev. hairlined, otherwise virtually As Struck with beautiful rainbow tone to obv., very rare, in case (sound).
