Description

Bolivia, Charles II (1665-1700), silver Cob of 8 Reales, 1671 E, Potosi mint, 25.31g (S-P37b; KM 26; A&C 702).

Very Fine, slightly doubled on reverse. Presumed to come from ship Piedmont, although it does not have a certificate.

In our opinion, part of Lyme Bay wreck, sunk in 1795 in south of England. These coins are recognizable by their uniformly dark-gray coloration, a bit saltwater damage, but not overly corroded.
