Canute (1016-35), Penny, Helmet type (c.1024-1030), Lincoln mint, moneyer Æthelmær, pointed helmet bust left, additional cross behind bust with sceptre in front, legend surrounding as +CNVT REX Λ . Rev, short voided cross with pellet and annulet centre, pellet in annulet in each angle, all within linear circle, reads +ÆĐELMER ON LIN, 1.00g (S.1158; N.787 var; BMC XIV; SCBI 14 [Copenhagen], Part IIIb, 1536).

Slightly wavy flan, pleasing detail and legible legends, cross behind bust variation visible. Some areas of softness in the central regions of Kings profile, nonetheless about very fine, scarce.
