Rev, short voided cross with pellet and annulet centre, pellet in annulet in each angle, all within linear circle, reads +ÆLFRED ON CENT, 1.02g (S.1158; N.787; BMC XIV; SCBI 13 [Copenhagen, Part IIIa], 123).
A brightly toned example struck on a marginally wavy flan, all the main details and legends in place with clarity. Portrait pleasing with one area of softness in the King’s mandible. Reverse dies partially worn, free from any peckmarks. Comprehensive very fine, lesser seen moneyer for the type and mint.
