Canute (1016-35), Penny, Helmet type (c.1024-1030), Lincoln mint, moneyer Swartbrand, pointed helmet bust left, sceptre in front, legend surrounding, +CNVT RECX Λ. Rev, short voided cross with pellet and annulet centre, pellet in annulet in each angle, all within linear circle, reads +SPPEΛRTΛBRΛD O LI, 1.11g (S.1158; N.787; BMC XIV; SCBI 14 [Copenhagen], Part IIIb, 1877-78).

Toned, a fully centred strike with underlying mint lustre, some obverse doubling, reverse strong with a quickly recognisable moneyer mint script. Good very fine, eye appeal.
