Satraps of Caria, Maussolos (c. 377/6-353/2 BC)

Silver Tetradrachm 5.10gm., Halicarnassus, struck after 367 BC.

Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly to the right. Reverse: Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding labrys in right hand and long sceptre in left, Π below his elbow, ΜΑΥΣΣΩΛΛ[Ο].
