Description
Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, Tower Mint under Parliament, group 3a3, King on horseback left with scarf flying from shoulder, sword upright, no ground, mintmark R (1644-45), legend surrounds CAROLVS DG MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX. Rev, oval scroll garnished shield of arms, reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, 15.29g (S.2778; N.2213; cf. Brooker 357-58).
Some annealing flaws, good horseman, legends mostly legible, the mintmarks partially visible, with a good depiction of the reverse coat of arms. About very fine.
