Charles I (1624-49), Shrewsbury mint, Halfcrown, 1642, Shrewsbury horseman walking left two pellets before kings name, ground-line below, small Shrewsbury plume behind. Rev, declaration RELIG.PROT.LEG ANG.LIBER.PAR in two lines, three Shrewsbury plumes above, date below, single pellet stops (S.2933; N.2377; Brooker – 822A). A delightful coin, toned and well struck, very fine for issue and rare.
