Charles I (1625-1649), Halfcrown, Tower under Parliament, group III, type 3a3, King on horseback left with short sword upright that terminates at border, initial mark (P) (1643-4) both sides, no stops by initial mark, with HIB type legend, pellet before obverse mark only, rev oval quartered shield of arms, 14.33g (Bull -/36; cf.Brooker 354-6; N.2213; S.2778).

Weakly struck on obverse, otherwise toned a bold fine.
