Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, Tower Mint, group 3a2, King on horseback left with cloak flying shoulder, sword upright, later horseman, no groundline, mintmark triangle (163940), legend surrounds CAROLVS DG MA BR FR ET HI REX. Rev, oval scroll garnished shield of arms, reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, 14.44g (S.2776; N.2211; Brooker 349). Light tone, some obverse weakness, otherwise very fine. An elegant specimen.
