Charles I (1625-1649), Silver Halfcrown, Oxford Mint, 1646, King on horseback left with raised sword and short sash, rocky ground with coarse grass below, Oxford plume behind, mintmark plume, rev die axis at 1 o’clock, Declaration in two lines, three Oxford plumes above with pellets between, date below and OX in two lines below with pellet stops, initial mark five pellets, error letter S for C in last word, 14.41g (Bull 632/2E ; Brooker 920; N.2433; S.2961).

Irregular shape as usual for this issue, toned with some flatness in strike, almost extremely fine for issue and the finest recorded by Bull.
