Charles I (1625-49), Ninepence, Newark besieged, 1645, on a rhombus shaped flan cut from silver plate, some original design visible at centre including hallmark remnants, large crown, C to left, R to right, value below, beaded border both sides, rev. inscription and date, 4.10g. (Brooker 1226; N.2641; S.3144).

Die flaws on reverse, weak in parts, toned about very fine and rare with the hallmark partly showing
