Charles I (1625-1649), Shilling, Tower Mint, group F, fifth crowned bust with rounded shoulder left, type 4.1, large value behind, initial mark triangle (1639-40) both sides rev inverted die axis, quartered shield of arms over cross fourchee, 5.94g (Brooker 533; Sharp F5/2; N.2230; S.2797).

A little double struck on a broad flan, a little weak at centre, one hairline scratch on obverse, toned a pleasing very fine.
