Charles I (1625-49), Sixpence, 1643, Oxford Mint, Aberystwyth obverse die, crowned bust left, plume before, value behind, initial mark book, rev Declaration in three lines, PRO for PROT date below, three Shrewsbury plumes above, no initial mark, 2.73g (cf.Brooker 949A; N.2458; S.2981).

Flan crack from striking, double struck, extra detail from first off-centre strike visible beyond obverse outer border, toned good very fine for issue, very rare.
