Charles I (1625‑49), Unite of twenty shillings, Tower mint, mintmark castle (1627‑28), crowned second bust left in ruff, armour and mantle breaking inner linear circle, value behind, legend surrounds CAROLVS DG MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX. Rev, crowned quartered coat of arms, reads FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA, 9.06g (S.2687; N.2148; Brooker 37). Good very fine, some weakness in strike on legend but an overall well struck and bold portrait.
