Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, Worcester mint, mint mark castle on obverse only, king in armour on horseback left, holding sword upright, horse’s tail falls straight down, small W above grass, all within linear circle. Legend reads CAROLVS: D:G MAG BRIT FRAN ET HIB: Rev, large crowned squaretopped quartered garnished shield of arms, looped garniture at sides, crown breaks linear circle, legend surrounds CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO,14.91g (Brooker. 1142; Bull. 668/7; Allen B-7; N.2587; S.3096)
