Description

Charles II (1660-1685), Halfcrown, third hammered issue, struck 1662, mintmark crown both sides, crowned and draped bust left, legend surrounds CAROLVS II DG MAG BR FR ET HIB REX, XXX mark of value behind inside beaded linear circle. Long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, within inner linear circle, legend commences CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, 14.21g (S.3321; N. 2761).

Some annealing flaws in the strike, great detail to the crown and lower part of Kings portrait. Very fine, for a notoriously poorly struck issue.
