China, Chinese Foreign Banks, Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, 5 Dollars Banknote, 1 March 1923, Shanghai, serial number 795377, arms of the bank and supporters top centre, small vignette of two sailing ships in a harbour below, “FIVE DOLLARS LOCAL CURRENCY” at centre, elegant blue border, “5” in each corner, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co Ltd, engravers of London, 188mm x 120mm (Pick S353).
An attractive issued note with nice colour and original paper, several small pinholes, heavily creased with tiny hole at centre, otherwise good fine.
